WHAT: A guided alligator hunt for three hunters in one boat: $3,000 value!

WHEN: September 2027. Four hours on the water, 8 a.m. or 1 p.m. departure, weather dependent. The winner calls the outfitter directly to set the date.

WHERE: Acme Fur & Trap in Braithwaite, LA, about 25 miles from downtown New Orleans

BIDDING CLOSES: 1:15 p.m. Friday, October 2, at the clubhouse during the FOL Skeet Shoot

Who can bid?

Anyone. You don't have to be shooting on the 2nd, be an FOL member, or have a kid at Lakewood. Bidding is online.

What's included

Acme Fur & Trap's basic guided hunt:

  • A guide who runs and rebaits the lines and hauls in the gator(s) with a guaranteed harvest.

  • Gun and ammo

  • Po-boys and drinks

  • Life vests, ear plugs, safety glasses, and a first aid kit

  • 3 Alligator wallets or lady’s coin purses

  • No head mount or tanned skin.

What costs the winner covers

  • A Louisiana alligator license for everyone on the boat: $150 non-resident, $25 resident. See Acme's FAQ for details.

  • Travel and lodging

  • Any processing or taxidermy, paid directly to an outside vendor

No alcohol on the boat.
